Rule 2: Take Advantage of Your Quality Time

Every hour lost in youth is a possibility of misfortune in the future.

—Napoleon Bonaparte.

Quality time is usually less than life time.

Longevity and mobility are not precisely synonymous.

You can live a hundred years but develop a disease that leaves you immobile at seventy.

And those last 30 years, what will you do?

You don’t know how much time you have left. But neither do you know when you will have to face the most dramatic effects of old age and decadence.

Stop wasting time.

Strive to generate the resources your future self will need. That lovely old man depends on you, your effort, and what you do today.

Don’t fail him!

And don’t get overwhelmed because it’s never too late to start.

Remember the old Chinese proverb, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”

Daily rule: Plant your tree today to reap the fruits as soon as possible because tomorrow, nobody guarantees you will be able to do it.
