Three Signs You Are Becoming the Person You Were Born to Be

Find out if you are on the right path.

Life is like a Jim Carrey movie: it doesn’t seem to make sense, but if you let yourself go, you enjoy the show.

The problem is that life is much longer than a two-hour movie. And we get impatient when we spend years, even decades, without knowing what we are doing here or what we were born for. And that’s normal.
I’ve had that feeling of “what am I doing here” all my life.

And finally, at 41 years old, I am beginning to discover the answer to that question.

It is a question with many answers, as many as there are people in the world. But it is clear to me what signs you experience when you can answer your life’s purpose.

And I want to share 3 of them with you so that you can rest assured that in the end, all your doubts will be answered by the universe.

Let us begin.

You stop resisting the will of the universe.

My grandfather always told me, “What you resist persists. And you must listen to it. What you resist over and over again comes back into your life. It would be best if you watched it. For it is your resistances that are the path you must walk.”

It is not easy to accept certain things, but in the end, you understand that if the universe repeatedly puts the same situation in front of you, no matter how much you dodge it, it is for a reason.

As a child, I hated setting the table: when I grew up, I had to work as a waiter for ten years.

As a child, I wouldn’t say I liked reading: I read more than 100 books a year when I grew up.

When I was a child, I wouldn’t say I liked silence: when I grew up, I looked for silence to be able to write.

As a child, I hated writing: as an adult, I am a published author and dedicate myself professionally to writing.

Now that I am an adult, I realize that being a waiter helped me to become a writer because, thanks to that job that I hated, I learned a lot about emotional intelligence, and the stories that my customers told me now help me to write my books.

Lesson: when you start to face, accept and embrace what you resist, it is a sign that you are on the right path. The universe wants you to follow THAT PATH, so it puts it in front of you repeatedly, no matter how much you resist.

You stop fooling yourself.

When you start to walk the path that destiny has prepared for you, you stop the adolescent bullshit.

You stop being a narcissist and navel-gazing and start to accept that just as some people have done you bad things, you have probably been the bad guy in many people’s lives.

Nobody is perfect. And when you start aligning yourself with your true self, you understand and accept it.

You accept your flaws. You get your virtues. You get your limits, and you understand that those limits give structure to your personality. Because a house without boundaries is not a house, it is a garden, Capichi!

Everything makes sense when you become the person you were born to be, even your childhood shortcomings and traumas.

If I hadn’t been bullied so much, I wouldn’t be able to inspire others to bounce back. I couldn’t tell them things like, “They don’t bully you because you’re fat, short, ugly, etc., they do it because deep down they’re afraid of what’s different because what’s different is unique, and that’s a competitive advantage in life. And what they want is to eliminate the competition.”

Lesson: when you stop fooling yourself, two things happen, 1) you don’t waste time with self-deception, and 2) you see more clearly the lies of others. And this aligns you with your destiny because it gives you clarity. And clarity is the absence of mental noise. And by accepting yourself, that mental noise disappears.

You start to trust life and let yourself be led.

When you become the hero of your own life, it happens that, just like in the pact between the reader and the writer of a novel, you start to let yourself be guided by the pages of your life.

You are the one who lives the experience (your ego) and also the observer of the experience, and the universe is the one who prepared everything for you: the people, the situations, the things, and the opportunities. And you stop fighting.

And when you are on the right path, you start using your energy to flow with the story: with your life.

You learn that everything is temporary because the show must go on. And you can’t go back or anticipate; everything happens in its own time because the universe’s timing is perfect.

You learn that everything is perfect, that everything in this life has a reason, even the wrong things. Because you need a story with peaks and valleys: not a balanced life, a balanced life is boring, and the universe that drives the film may be many things, but it is certainly not dull.

You learn to cry when you have to cry, to laugh when you have to laugh, and to enjoy the things you have in the present moment because they may not be there tomorrow.

You learn to trust the infinite intelligence of the universe you are a part of.

Lesson: when you become the person you were born to be, you begin to do your part, but you also learn not to interfere with the plans the universe has in store for you and to accept them with gratitude.
