The Amazing Teaching of Jesus of Nazareth That Changed My Outlook on Reality

And maybe yours.

If you don’t share the Christian view of things, that’s okay.

In this article, you can substitute the word God/Jesus/Holy Spirit for the word Universe.

Now let me tell you the most fantastic lesson that Jesus (the universe) has taught me along this journey called life.

The most important lesson of my spiritual life

“I will lead the blind by a way they know not, I will guide them in paths they know not of; I will turn the darkness before them into the light” — Isaiah 42:16.

This sentence does not say that God (the universe) will make us rich or more famous than Elvis Presley.

This phrase does not say that our life will be luxurious and spent between summers in Ibiza and winters in a penthouse in Manhattan. — This sentence does not say that everything will be easy.

It won’t.

What this sentence says is, “I will lead the blind.”

Substitute blind for “lost and frightened children in adult bodies.” And now stop at the part “I will lead.”

The part “I will lead” is the key.

God (the universe) leads us. But he does not walk the path for us.

It is your footsteps that walk the path. The universe (God), on its part, what it does is to illuminate every step we take.

But we must cross the valley of despair and death to the green pastures.

We are the ones who have to walk the complex paths and face adversity and tribulation.

We are the ones who have to want to get out of the fear.

Why?

Because otherwise, we would not learn anything.

How will we evolve spiritually if someone else does the work for us?

How will we learn anything if someone else takes the exams for us?

How are we going to be assertive without facing any adversity?
It is not possible.

And that reflection changed my way of seeing life.

I, the Blindest of the Blind

Look, I have been the blindest of all the blind.

If hell were a bar, I was the DJ, the PR guy, and the bartender.

And if I survived, it’s because Jesus (the universe) never let go of my hand, even though I didn’t believe in him.

Even though I constantly blamed him for my luck when I started to believe.

Even though I was a complete know-it-all who threw everything in his face like a Kindergartener.

The Process

The Lord doesn’t change things to make things easier for you; he changes you to make things easier.

That’s what Jesus did with me through the Holy Spirit. In New Age words: that is what the universe did with me through its energy.

And little by little, I had a great revelation.

I realized that all the pain I faced was necessary. And that I saw reality backward from the way it was.

The actual reality of things

When you start to do well, you realize that maybe you are not doing well.
Because in the spiritual world, everything is counter-intuitive.

And it turns out that the good often weakens you, and the bad fortifies you.

And an excess of good can lead you to sin, which is nothing more than a euphemism for “self-destruction.”

Negative energy does not want to let go.

Negative energy doesn’t like you going into the light and wants you to stay in the darkness.

That negative energy is a toxic partner that doesn’t want to let go; it wants to possess you.

And so when you begin to walk away from it without complaining about the adversities you face, the old temptations increase in intensity in your life.

How to interpret the signs

The point is to understand that the absence of these temptations is usually a sign that you must not be on the right track.

Why?

Because if you are in the dark, what need does negative energy have to tempt you?

However, when you notice the rejection of your environment, when you start to change your life, when you feel the pull of the addiction towards that substance, you are leaving, when your life, instead of improving, seems to be swept away by a tsunami, it usually means that you are on the right track.

You can’t pour new wine into an old wineskin.

Your old life of excesses and vices must be swept away to build again on stable foundations, for everything made in your old life is like building castles of sand.

That’s why when you return to old habits, your relationships don’t last, projects crumble, and life goes wrong again (even if you don’t see it).

But if you let yourself be guided, at the end of the complex process, you can build a solid palace to live as who you really are: the son of a king.
