This theory about reality it is going to blow your mind.

After re-reading The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer, a disturbing theory came to mind.
Michael, at the beginning of his book, talks about all of us have voices inside our heads, and about those voices, he says, “If you are hearing it (the voice in your head) speak, it is clear that it is not you speaking. You are the one hearing the voice.”
And that sentence blew my mind. And I started to develop the following theory.
The theory of the whole Universe uses us as windows to reality.
The voice in my head is a tool of my brain to organize the information I receive from the environment. But… For whom is that information collected?
If it were for myself (my 3D Self), I would not need so much mental chatter, just occasionally, as when I talk out loud to reflect or speculate, but only sometimes.
Therefore I have explored the following hypothesis,
I am the judge of experience, not the voice my mind uses.
My mind relates to the environment through the senses (my 3D Self or avatar) and then communicates with me (my universal or abstract Self) through mental chatter.
If this is true, the listener (my universal Self) is not the avatar living in this 3D reality.
So who is listening?
The Universe.
That would explain a lot.
- That God/universe/[Insert here the name of the God of the religion you profess] is everywhere.
- That we are tripartite: mind, body, and spirit.
- Ram Das was correct when he said, “Awareness for some reason manifests into many unique entities. And then these entities/souls manifest on different planes of consciousness to work out their uniqueness.”
Therefore each of us (physical 3D avatars) would be something like windows through which the Universe looks. Or rather, instruments through which it plays its music.
Why instruments? We are all tuned differently; we all have different thoughts and circumstances; we all sound different; we all have different opinions because we have different life experiences.
In conclusion
There is something that listens to us and registers our actions 24/7 in an omnipresent way, and maybe that is why it is said that “God is always with you” or “It is your thoughts that can make your life a paradise or a hell.”
Regarding the latter, the relationship between the Universe Self and the 3D or egoic Self is prosperous. And our Universal Self makes us feel good if our 3D Self does something it likes and wrong if it does something it dislikes.
In this way, our 3D Self is, in a way, the fingers with which the Universe explores itself.
Practical applications of this theory
If this theory is true, you could use it to improve your life.
How? Well, you could improve your perception (this corresponds to your higher or universal Self, i.e., the one that listens) over your 3D or egoic Self (the one with a physical body, mind, and constant mental chatter).
This way, if your 3D Self feels loved and honored, it will try to act better. And it will be more aligned with the Universal Self and less with sin or the mundane.
Like the Christians say, “Let Jesus be born in your heart, and let the Holy Spirit transform you.”
(Substitute Jesus for your Universal Self and Holy Spirit for universal energy in the previous sentence if you feel more comfortable).
In doing so, you would want to be more at one with your Universal Self. You would not want to fail it, and life would go better for you because you would move away from worldly sins, addictions, and toxic behaviors that cloud your life.
Because deep down, your 3D Self is the avatar through which the Universe Self sneaks in to experience reality. Your 3D Self is the one who carries the cross. Your Universal Self is the one who loves you and gives you strength.
In my personal experience
I am a seeker: I search in the different spiritual traditions for all kinds of techniques that help me to understand this mystery called life.
I use the so-called Yoga of the Intellect or Gnana Yoga (a little bit of what I exercise writing this essay) to the Ignatian exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola from the Christian tradition.
And I can tell you that my life has been completely transformed since I can align my spiritual or universal Self with my 3D Self (mind and body).
My life is better because I feel better. And this would also validate the Law of Attraction.
Law of Attraction
In the Law of Attraction, they tell you that you have to feel that you already have it before you have it, right?
This would be the same as having your Universal Self send you emotions, intuitions, and energy. And all of this would be used by your 3D Self to materialize your dreams.
Therefore, the point is not to do away with your ego (3D Self) as you must survive in the 3D reality, but to work as a team with that universal being that experiences the world through you (the one that listens to the voice of your mind).
And that is why I have written this article to reconcile the person who is reading it (your 3D or egoic Self) with the one who is listening to it (your Universal Self) so that they can collaborate and live in harmony for the common good of both parties and thus improve your life.
