The law of attraction had never worked for me. And this was something I did not understand because I saw how everything around me changed,
- Colleagues became rich overnight.
- Friends found the love of their life.
- Some people found the job of their dreams.
And I was going through life knowing that I wanted to manifest but not achieving it, no matter how much effort I put into it.
It was only by discovering these three revelations that I could make the law of attraction work for me.
1. Within me are all the answers
“You will be conscious of being or possessing a thing and then you will express or possess that which you are conscious of being.” — Neville Goddard
For Neville’s statement to be true, human beings must have the answers to change their lives, even if they have not yet asked themselves the appropriate questions.
When I realized that inside me were the answers, I understood that I already knew what to do to manifest a better life.
- I already knew how to stop smoking, but I was still smoking.
- I already knew how to stop drinking, but I was still drinking.
- I already knew how to save money but was still spending everything I earned.
And that revelation led me to the second one.
Why, if I knew what steps I needed to take to have a better life, didn’t I take them?
2. I didn’t want to change my life.
“Every person automatically expresses what he or she is conscious of being. The person is commanding himself to be and possess that which he is conscious of being and possessing.” — Neville Goddard
The day I had this second revelation, I cried as I have never cried again.
Why would anyone want to live the shitty life I had?
Why was I mistreating myself?
Why couldn’t he stop fucking up my life?
The answer from deep inside me was, “Mistreating yourself is how you communicate with yourself and the world. Because you have normalized the way you were humiliated as a child.”
As a child, my innocent conscience was conditioned to believe I was an outcast. And in accepting it, I became conscious of being an outcast and became one.
In short, I was made to believe I was a loser and became one. And since then, as Goddard suggests, I have spent my life ordering myself and self-imposing myself to be an outcast.
Because my way of understanding the world was from the abuse that children and adults committed against me, I normalized mistreatment as a form of affection. I normalized abuse as a way to fit into the world.
I accepted the clown role imposed on me as a child.
And it stayed on the back burner, running 24/7 in the backstage of my consciousness.
3. I had to unlearn what I had learned.
“If you are dissatisfied with your present expression of life, then you must be reborn. Rebirth is abandoning that level with which you are dissatisfied and rising to the level of consciousness you wish to express and possess” — Neville Goddard
The last revelation that paved the way for the rest of the techniques applied in the law of attraction to work for me was deconstructing myself.
And little by little, I peeled away the layers that kept me in that existence of abuse perpetuated day in and day out and that I allowed and sought.
Yes, you were looking for it. I began to realize that high-performance jobs were just an excuse; I was working in abusive environments that were too demanding because I was addicted to being mistreated.
In the same way, I was always turned on by the same type of partners: toxic. Because they made me shit.
And I had to accept the truth of all that to change it. And it was hard to recognize that I was the one who was looking to be abused to self-sabotage myself and metaphorically return to the position of the bullied kid I had been in my childhood.
Once I deconstructed myself. I began to create the new life I wanted, raising my consciousness to embody on the outside what I managed to believe I deserved on the inside. I managed to change my reality for the better.
Because as Neville Goddard said, “Raising your consciousness to the level of the thing desired and staying there until that level becomes your nature is the path that leads to what they call miracles.”
Apply it to your life.
- The answers to how to get what you want are already within you. Ask yourself why you say you will change and then don’t do what you know you need to do to do it.
- Remember that you always attract what your deep consciousness believes you are into your life.
- Unblock your self-sabotaging processes because something you identify with prevents you from having a better life because you subconsciously believe you don’t deserve a better life. Reread it.
- Lastly, treat your destructive processes as if they were just another addiction. I don’t drink alcohol because I was an alcoholic. In the same way, I don’t date abusive people because I am addicted to them. And in doing so, you will lay the foundation to grow spiritually and begin to manifest the life you desire.
