The straw that broke the camel’s back

The straw that broke the camel’s back was the one that saved you.

The straw that broke the camel’s back was the one that set you free.

The straw that broke the camel’s back was the one that changed you.

Unfortunately, human beings only change when the pain of staying where they are is greater than the pain of leaving.

So don’t mind if the glass overflows.

Sometimes, you need it to overflow, to say “so long” or “forever.”

And it hurts… Of course, it hurts; who said it was easy to change your life? Who said it was easy to move on? Who said it was easy to leave the side of someone who was once everything?

It is not.

But neither is it fair to stay in the middle of the fire, burning for nothing.

But it’s also unfair to be the soldier who goes into battle alone.

But it’s also not fair to be the one who always picks up the broken plates and ends up with his hands cut off.

But it’s also unfair to keep giving you all only to receive crumbs.

In short, making life easier for the one who makes it difficult for you is unfair.

And I’m not just talking about romantic relationships. I’m talking about friendships, professional projects, and seasons.

Everything has its moment under the sun.

And every end is a new beginning. Even if you don’t see it at first.

And it’s okay not to feel one hundred percent; it’s normal. You must realign yourself, find your new orbit, and gravitate around a new sun.

You have to detach.

You have to unlearn.

You have to become yourself again.

And that takes time.

But indeed less time than it took for your glass of patience to overflow drop by drop 🙂

A virtual hug

  1. I am going thru this now.. I gave 21 day resignation for my job… One because they were good to me when I had the flu.. and then the other thing I need meds filled before I leave.. so win win.
All I got on return was a email back saying we understand, thank you for the extended notice…
I was like wow.. that’s it.. I made the right decision
. Because most think I do things on a whim
.. itay look that way but trust me I been ruminating about it for a while… And I’m going back on to sales.. I never thought I would do that again.. but here I am lol 😅..
And I think the universe is doing these things to see if I have learned my lessons.. and how quickly do you see what’s going on.. I saw it the first week I was here… I should have left then… But I stuck it out.. and I knew things were changing rapidly this year… So I hung in to see what the universe has in store.. zoom zoom.. bing bang boom.. everything fell into place again .. once you change your mind which I did im April.. things started moving fast again… So I’m jumping on the rollercoaster and see where it takes me 😂💜

    1. Wow! My friend, I am very happy to read you, I am very sorry about your work, and I hope you recover soon from your flu, I send you a big hug.
