Healing is a slow but not impossible process.
Healing is a long road that seems eternal, making us retrace our steps, feel awkward and thick, and go down a thousand dead ends, but walking it is worth the effort.
The problem is to believe that this road has to arrive somewhere for you to be happy: the day of the wedding, the day of the promotion, the day the mortgage payment is paid off, the day you retire.
And it’s better not to wait.
Healing is being happy along the way, not living in anguish waiting for some distant future where everything will magically be perfect (that place doesn’t exist).
To heal is to update obsolete ways of thinking, uninstall others that no longer serve, and, above all, prioritize.
Healing helps you see the reality around you clearly (or with new eyes).
Healing is to confess those things you carry in secret and eat you up inside to the right people to free yourself from guilt.
To heal is to make the right decisions, even if they hurt.
Healing is listening to your intuition and escaping hostile, complicated or confusing environments.
Healing is to stop discarding yourself and start choosing yourself.
