#5. The more you reject it, the more you attract it.
Life seems like the world turned upside down.
You pursue one thing and get the opposite.
Living is contradictory—a paradox.
Something weird that shouldn’t be but is.
Disturbing. Isn’t it?
Here are a few more spiritual paradoxes to help us understand the meaning of our life.
1. Endings are new beginnings.
“There is a time for everything under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes.
In life, the order of factors does alter the product. It is essential not to reap at the time of sowing and not to sow at the time of harvest.
But above all, you have to understand that for something new to blossom, the old fruit has to fall from the branch and die. So that from its seeds, a new tree is born.
In other words, relationships, jobs, and circumstances have to end for you to initiate new stages in your life and continue your evolution.
So every time you see that something you are too attached to ends, smile because the universe is undoubtedly releasing you so you can start a new chapter in the book of your life.
2. The unknown teaches us to know ourselves.
“Being at ease with not knowing is crucial for the answers to come to you.” — Eckhart Tolle.
We are all afraid. But being afraid enlivens the senses. And with the senses we introduce data from the outside world into our inner world.
That is why it is necessary to lose ourselves to find ourselves.
We must leave our comfort zone and face the unknown to put ourselves in new situations, experience new sensations, and prove ourselves in different scenarios.
The unknown questions us and makes us confess who we are.
The unknown helps us to know ourselves, to feel our walls, to discover what we are made of, and thus to feel our essence.
3. To empty oneself is to fill oneself.
“When I let go of what I am, I become what I could be.” — Lao Tzu.
Walking, meditating, and looking at the sky without doing anything are ways to make space within our being so that the universe can fill us with new ideas and beautiful revelations.
Burnout comes when we forget this and don’t take the time to chill.
Doing nothing is the most productive thing you can do.
In periods of apparent inactivity, the universe sends you information, and your bored mind is dedicated to integrating it with the old knowledge and ordering it, creating beautiful structures inside your head.
4. You do best when you care least about getting it right.
“If you are willing to experience the gift of life rather than fight against it, life will move you to the depths of your being.” — Michael A. Singer
You have to detach yourself from outcomes. Because a result is something that happens in the future and, therefore, prevents you from being 100% involved in the present and enjoying it.
Expectations generate a pressure that prevents life from flowing naturally.
Because you are more focused on the result than the process, and only when you hyperfocus on the process do you get the best result.
This also applies to your personal life.
5. The more you reject it, the more you attract it.
“Where attention is directed, energy flows and results appear.”- T. Harv Eker
The universe is insistent. And if you ignore the signals, it sends them bigger and bigger.
As they say, “what you resist persists.”
And it persists for a good reason that you won’t discover until you face what makes you uncomfortable.
Remember: the life you aspire to is usually on the other side of the resistance you feel to do something you know you have to do but are too lazy to do.
6. To be treated as crazy when you are at the best mental clarity.
“It is not a sign of good health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society” — Jiddu Krishnamurti.
People don’t want you to change because they are addicted to stability. And they don’t want you to give up your place in their lives.
So when you wake up and choose yourself, they tell you that you are crazy, or that you are being unreasonable, or that you are a childish person who has to grow up, or that your dreams are impossible.
They want you to feel bad for doing things that make you feel good.
All to make you think you’re going the wrong way when your whole body feels like you’re going the right way.
But that’s okay, be true to your instinct.
Trust your intuition, your sixth sense. And if you feel confused, remember that all that confusion is part of the process.
Seeds emerge from the darkness of the earth before they bloom.
