The Most Valuable Lesson the Universe Taught Me After Turning My Life Into a Living Hell

Listening to the universe is not sexy.

Desire is the salt of life.

Without desire, no matter how well you do, your life will be like the food they give you in hospitals: insipid.

We know, but we still lose the desire along the way.

It’s normal, shit happens to all of us: divorces, funerals, illnesses. — Whoever doesn’t lose their desire and joy is a f*cking unicorn.

Nobody blames you for losing the desire. What’s crazy to me is that most people wonder why their life sucks.

Short answer: Life has more problems than a math book.

Long answer: your life possibly sucks because you have a shitty job, and you’re surrounded by people more problematic than the contestants of a reality show.

How do you change that?

There are no miracle recipes. If you are looking for miracles, go to Lourdes and ask the virgin for them. I can, at most, tell you how I got myself out of the shit.

Well,

My “original” method to get out of the shit was to hit bottom.

You know what they say, “Human beings only change when the change is less painful than the pain of staying the same.”

Sometimes, bad things happen for a reason.

Blessings are disguised as tragedy more often than we think.

From 2013 to 2015, the Universe hit me hard.

The universe burned my life to the ground.

I lost my house, my partner, my grandfather, my company, all my money, and 99.9% of my lifelong friends.

I was so pissed off that I was talking to the universe in my sleep.

In one of those dreams, I had this conversation with the universe.

Talk with the universe

Me: Why are you f*cking with me? What the f*ck have I done to you?

Universe: It’s not personal, just business.

Me: You’re laughing at me, aren’t you?

Universe: Yes and no. My job is to send problems to people- the whole entropy thing and all that jazz. And you, people, have to dissipate that entropy I send you.

Me: You think you’re so bright, don’t you?

Universe: I am 26.7 billion years old and your boss. You are barely 35, and you are my employee. I think that gives me some advantage.

Me: Okay. And if I succeed and do what you tell me to do, will you stop putting shit in my life?

Universe: No.

Me: Wtf! Why?

Universe: Who would you tell to do something, the one who is successful at what he does or a newbie? The more successful you are, the more shit I’m going to send you to solve.

And then I woke up, but I haven’t forgotten the dream.

The disturbing lesson the universe taught me.

As of 2018, things started to get better. But problems have continued knocking on my front door, demanding solutions.

Getting out of the pit, getting the job of my dreams, cleaning up my economy, improving my relationship with my family, and having new friends is not an anti-problem policy.

Quite the opposite.

More success = more problems.

But the real point of all this is that the universe taught me that EVERYBODY has problems. And that’s the key.

Takeaway

Whatever you do, you’re going to have problems. Reread it.

Changing your life doesn’t stop you from having problems. Changing your life only causes you to have new issues. And if you do well, you’ll have a LOT MORE PROBLEMS on top of that.

That’s why I was stuck in my life.

I was afraid of success because deep down inside, I knew that changing my life for the better meant having some degree of success, which meant more entropy and problems.

The universe is like the Donkey Kong video game, and the only thing that happens when you level up (you succeed) is that it throws more barrels at you (you have more problems).

That’s why the universe ended up with everything I had built so that I could build a new life from scratch. Not to save me problems.

The problem isn’t the obstacle, it’s the damn path.

Don’t fool yourself; you will ALWAYS have problems whatever you do.

Then why do you keep living a life you secretly hate?

Could it be (as in my case) that you are afraid of success?

A virtual hug
