Nowadays, we go everywhere in a hurry. And we feel that we don’t have time for anything, that more than 24 hours is needed.
And if for some reason, life slows down because we get fired or we have a breakup, we are unable to stay long in that slow pace until the wound heals.
We look for another partner, another job, another replacement, something to fill the hole left in our hearts.
We look for anything that will keep us busy again (although I should say anesthetized or distracted).
What are we afraid of?
We are afraid of being alone with our thoughts. Because when you spend time with yourself, you get to know yourself. And that inner wisdom can tell you things you don’t want to hear.
Things like “pursue your dreams,” “that relationship has been broken for a long time,” “live your life, stop thinking about what people will say,” “forgive him for once,” or “confess your feelings.”
And you know the funniest thing about all this?
Suppose you dare to spend time with yourself, start listening to yourself, and you do the things your inner voice suggests to you. In that case, you will have time left over for everything because you will have stopped going around in circles without knowing where you are going.
You will have discovered what is truly SUBSTANTIAL to you. And even more important: what is INSUSTANTIAL in your life. And you will be able to free yourself from it.
Lesson: Get things out of your heart so that your inner voice will show you the way and your order of priorities, and your day will have hours to spare.
