1. Stop focusing on what you think you need
And start focusing on what you really want.
It sounds the same, but it’s not.
You live on the hamster wheel when you focus on what you need.
When you focus on what you really want, the hamster escapes from the cage and runs free in the field 🙂
Focus on what you really want, and your life will improve.
Focus on what you think you need and you will always want to be somewhere else, with someone else, in another job, etc.
2. Stay away from toxic relationships.
Sometimes, it may seem like you betray someone special’s trust, such as a friend or family member.
But this is not the case.
If you allow a rotten apple to rot in your basket, you are betraying yourself.
I’m sure you’ve heard the advice they give when you travel by plane:
“In case of an accident, put your oxygen mask on first before trying to help someone else.”
It works the same way in life.
Remember that to help others, you must first help yourself.
3. Change the way you see yourself.
If you feel uncomfortable with yourself, make a mental picture of how you would like to be.
(Writing it down in detail on paper helps a lot).
And then keep that ideal in your mind and fill the gap.
(Gap: distance that separates your current self from who you want to be).
Keeping that new image of yourself and being aware of the principles and values of the person you want to become will make you start thinking and feeling as if you already embody it.
From there, be consistent, and you will begin to act and make decisions as that new version of yourself until you become it.
4. Invest time in yourself.
All of the above will only happen if you invest time in yourself.
And there are no excuses here.
We all have responsibilities.
And we all come home exhausted.
You have to invest time in training, health, and emotional well-being. And in all those things you need to improve in your life.
5. Don’t wait for everything to be perfect. Do what you can with what you have.
Life is a journey where improvising is part of the fun.
Entrepreneurship is synonymous with learning.
If you don’t have capital, use your imagination.
Your imagination will take your life to the next level. Believe in yourself, and never let circumstances hold you back.
And don’t be self-deceived because, as Albert Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing every day and expecting different results.”
Takeway
I’ll give you one last piece of advice,
“Get what you want by becoming the person who gets it.”
Read it again 🙂
And if you don’t like that kind of person, change your dream.
A virtual hug.
