One of life’s great truths that no one tells you about until it’s too late.
The most unsettling advice I received from my 92 years old grandpa before he left this earth was,
“Stop pretending to be. Just be.”
At the moment, I didn’t get it. But with ye pass of the years, I unpacked that present made of wisdom from my grandpa, and I want to share it with you.
You Don’t Need To Look Cool. You Need to Feel Good
What my grandpa wanted me to realize with his unsettling quote was, “Stop trying to please everyone. Instead, try to please yourself.”
But I don’t say it from an egoic perspective. But a spiritual one.
You must use the world of forms (Maya) to your benefit because by doing it, you will vibrate high and share that positive energy with others.
We, the humans, are the ocean, but each of us is a wave.
And each individual as a wave can impact others with enormous power.
Don’t live a low-cost life. Live a premium one.
In the first steps of your spiritual awakening, you need certainties, the same as in other aspects of your mundane life.
So, start searching for things that make you feel good.
Start meeting new people and be aware of how you feel.
Go to different places and ask yourself, “How do I feel here and now?”
Let me explain to you why.
Your life doesn’t change because you don’t know how to change it.
Some say, “the only way to change is when the pain of being like you is more than the pain of changing your behaviors.”
And they are right.
But you can change much sooner without waiting until you feel trapped in your own life.
You can do it now, without pain, searching for the pleasure of being you at the moment (which zen masters call the satori).
To do it, you need to understand the following.
You don’t change because you can only imagine how it feels to have something, be with someone, or do this and that. But you don’t feel it for real. So your body-mind doesn’t see the need for change.
But if you do small things to prove to yourself how good it feels, I promise you’ll change your life for the better so quickly you will not imagine.
The spiritual gateway to the good life
- Buy those sneakers you love.
- Treat yourself to the vacation of your dreams to that place you’ve longed to go.
- Dare to meet new and exciting people.
And above all, see how you feel, discard what makes you feel bad, and repeat what makes you feel terrific.
I used to wear cheap sneakers, and since I wear Skechers my feet if they could smile, they would 🙂
I used to fear meeting new people, but now I have a circle of fascinating people worldwide who make me feel useful and loved.
Before, I didn’t dare to travel; now, I love to get lost in any city and discover its nooks and crannies.
I used to feel bad in my house watching Netflix and eating Doritos every evening. Now I feel terrific.
And all this has made me a better human being. Because I feel less anger and frustration.
The life you manifest is a reflection of how you feel. I am much more abundant because I don’t live in scarcity.
That’s what my grandfather meant with his quote.
Stop pretending to be who you are not. And dare to discover who you are, using your emotions as a guide and following what makes you feel good healthily. And when I find you comfortable, be, and everything will be fine.
And my grandpa was right; I am more and more me every day. I feel better and better. And it’s super unsettling because it’s scary to allow ourselves to flow following the wealth we sub-consciousness search for. But it works.
You don’t need to please anyone, just you.
By doing it, you honor yourself. And you attract love because you love yourself and take care of yourself, and that’s what you attract into your life.
Recap for the memory
Human beings seek to feel good.
If you don’t know what makes you feel good, you don’t give your body and mind reasons to change and pursue new heights of well-being.
And you don’t develop fully as a human being either, because you behave like a child who doesn’t try vegetables because they are oddly shaped.
You cannot discard or choose things without tasting them.
By tasting, you mature, and you experiment. And in this way, you start the way to yourself. Towards what YOU like and makes YOU feel good inside your skin.
Dare to feel good, and you will notice the difference.
