Be your refuge

Those closest to you can hurt you the most because those who don’t know you have nothing on you.

So when those who claim to be your friends use what they know about you against you, you’d better be prepared.

Because they will try to muddy the beautiful lake, your life is finally becoming with the fecal waters of their envy-filled hearts.

They will only achieve their goal if their criticism diminishes your armor.

That’s why you must coat your self-esteem in Adamantium as if you were Wolverine from the X-men.

In this life, the higher you climb, the more they want to pull you down, like in the fable of the fisherman and the crabs.

A guy strolled along the pier and saw a crab fisherman with an uncovered jar full of live crabs.

Upon seeing him, the man said to the fisherman, “If you don’t close the jar, the crabs will escape.”

The fisherman replied, “Don’t worry, sir. When the crabs at the bottom of the jar see that another crab is about to come out, they grab it by the legs and drag it back to the bottom.”

Moral: Don’t let anything or anyone bend you, especially now that after much effort, you are so close to getting the life you deserve.

Don’t let yourself be dragged to the bottom now that you are so close to getting out of the jar, little crab 🙂
