Getting Out of Hell Isn’t Quick, but These 4 Hard Lessons Will Speed Up the Process

Learn from my pain.

Getting out of hell is possible, but you must get the hell out of yourself first.

Otherwise, you will always be accompanied by the whispering devil.

That one that sooner or later will make you descend again to his kingdom of misery, addiction, and rottenness.

I know it very well, as a former long-time addict.

Not easy, but it is possible; here are some tips I have learned along the way.

1. The subtle art of knowing when to shut the f*ck up

It is the most challenging skill to master but the most profitable one.

  • It saves you arguments.
  • It saves you aggravation.
  • It saves you time.
  • It saves you from disappointment.
  • It saves you from misunderstandings.
  • It may save you from going to jail 🙂

But above all, it improves your active listening skills.

And when you are in hell, you must improve listening because the lack of listening usually puts you in that black hole.

2. Honoring your loved ones with your money is the BEST thing you can do with it.

Don’t repeat the same f*cking mistake, again and again, like Sisyphus.

Take the damm rock up the mountain, and when you reach the top again, make sure you don’t let the rock go down.

The rock is your life. Take it to the top, and don’t use your position or the money you earn to harm yourself again and again and… again.

Money is paper, bro—numbers on a screen. You can clean your ass with money or use it to buy a good life.

How?

Honor the vincules with your family. Make those vincules stronger by leading with the example. Use that money to keep your people safe.

The Life you want is one step away from kindness.

Happiness is permanent when you treat money as temporal. And it is ephemeral when you forget It.

Detach yourself for the money, not only for relationships.

Invest the value of your money in invaluable things like health, time, love, and people.

3. Use your Bullshit-tinted glasses.

Toxic things are easy to identify when you rock bottom but are easy to ignore when you are at the top of your personal Mount Everest.

You see life behind rose-tinted glasses when things are going well. But those glasses blind you because they are made of pride and tons of ego.

If you want to escape hell as soon as possible, throw the rose-tinted glasses into the garbage can.

And start using the zero-bullshit glasses to learn humility and return to heaven.

4. Stop pretending. Start asking for help.

Pretending to be happy 24/7 is the worst you can do when you burn in hell.

You are not a failure; you are learning to get back on track.

It’s ok not to be ok. And people have to know when you are not in a good spot. Because guess what? Nobody will give you a hand if nobody knows what is happening in your life.

Failers are winners in the process.

You are a winner in the process of being a success. And must be proud of it.

Asking for help does not make you weak; not asking for help does.

Allow good people (I call them angels) to give you a hand. Everybody needs someone.

See you in Heaven.
