Three Subtle Signs You Have Survived the Flames of Hell and Now Heaven Awaits

Trust the universe’s perfect timing (Good things are coming).

Invisible ties connect people who have been through hell.

As if deep inside each one of us, there is a tunnel that takes us directly to a specific part of the collective unconscious, and there, we mingle with each other to share and understand our joint pain.

In that place, I understood that we are seeds that life buried in a dark hole over which it threw a thousand storms for us to flourish. But when we were in the process, we only felt the weight of the earth, the darkness, and the tragic feeling of living 24/7 with the water around our necks.

But I also learned that there is hope.

Especially when you start to see specific signs (behavioral changes) in yourself.

Here, I share with you three of those signs.

1. You finally learned what “yes,” what, “no,” and what “never.”

The lighter you walk, the higher you rise. Even if you first think you are sinking, don’t worry; you are learning to fly.

There comes a point when the universe takes so much from you that your life can only go in one direction: up.

And you get used to living lightly.

So much so that if someone were to ask you one of these three questions, you would know exactly what to answer.

  1. If your life was about to be destroyed by a tornado and you could only save one thing, what would it be?
  2. If a doctor told you you had six months to live, what would you spend them on?
  3. What would you do if you had a second chance to escape hell?

If you have clear answers to these questions, it’s because you have learned to establish priorities.

If you are clear about the answers, it is because you know what you want in your life and what is unnecessary or dispensable.

If you are clear about the answers, you have probably learned the lesson the universe wanted to teach you when it descended you to hell, and you are ready to return to heaven.

2. You realize that sometimes it’s not about turning the page but about closing the book (or burning it).

People who are about to come out of hell begin to feel a kind of rejection of the things that used to make them supposedly happy.

If you are at this point, you will have noticed some of these things.

  • You no longer like to hang out with your regular friends anymore.
  • You no longer like going to the same places.
  • You no longer think like everybody else in your social-hell circle.

Your values and principles have changed.

You say “goodbye!” to who you were, “and hi!” to the new “you.”

And it feels incredible because you may still be broke but no longer broken.

You’ve put your pieces back together. You’ve started to give yourself the love and credit you once begged from others. And that’s going to change everything.

3. You have started to focus on the small things, and you will achieve big things.

At the worst of my self-destructive processes, I would leave dishes unscrubbed in the sink for weeks (I once had to soak the dishes in the bathtub to get the dried grease out of them).

I wouldn’t brush my teeth until someone caught my eye.

And I only ate take-out food.

I didn’t care that the house looked like a pigsty.

I started to get out of hell when I began to do little things to make amends for all the chaos and misery that surrounded me.

I started making my morning bed, brushing my teeth (even though I had already lost three molars), and cleaning the house.

I started doing it because I noticed that cleaning calmed my anxiety in part without the need to smoke or drink alcohol.

Mental fatigue is more exhausting than physical, but exhausting yourself physically (cleaning or playing sports) relieves mental fatigue.
I said to myself, “AG, you can be broke, but you don’t have to be living in shit.”

And something magical happened.

I guess you can’t change one part without changing the whole thing. And those little new habits of tidiness and cleanliness started a butterfly effect in my life that lasts to this day.

So, if you have started dissipating the entropy surrounding you, you will slowly begin to order your inner chaos. And before you know it, you will be living a better life.

See you in heaven; for me, it will be an honor to be your neighbor 🙂

A virtual hug
